In this policy, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to the controller named above; “you” refers to any visitor, contact-form user, or job applicant using expertnetwork.eu (the “Site”).

2. Scope of this policy

This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal data when you visit the Site, submit our contact form, or apply for a job through our careers section. It is issued in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the “GDPR”) and applicable national implementing legislation.

This policy does not apply to third-party websites we may link to; please review their own privacy notices separately.

3. Data collected via the contact form

When you submit our contact form, we collect:

  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Company / organisation name
  • The content of your message and any information you choose to include in it
  • Date and time of submission

We use this data solely to respond to your inquiry and to keep a record of business correspondence.

4. Data collected via job applications

When you apply for a position through our careers page, we collect:

  • Full name, email address, and phone number
  • CV / résumé and any cover letter you upload
  • Employment history, education, qualifications, and skills contained in your application
  • Any other information you voluntarily provide (e.g. LinkedIn profile, portfolio links)

We do not ask for special categories of data (e.g. health, religion, ethnicity) as part of the application process. If your CV happens to contain such information, we will only use it where necessary and permitted by law (for example, information relevant to a reasonable accommodation request), and otherwise we will disregard it.

5. Technical & cookie data

5.1 Strictly necessary (essential) cookies

These cookies are required for the website to function correctly (e.g. maintaining basic site settings, load balancing, security) and do not require your consent under EU ePrivacy rules.

5.2 Analytics cookies — Google Analytics

With your consent, we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland), to understand how visitors use the Site (e.g. pages visited, time spent, traffic sources) so we can improve it. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this information.

Key points about our use of Google Analytics:

  • Consent required: these cookies are only set after you actively accept analytics cookies via our cookie consent banner. You can withdraw consent at any time by changing your cookie preferences.
  • IP anonymisation: we have enabled IP anonymisation/masking in Google Analytics, so your full IP address is not stored by Google.
  • No advertising features: we do not use Google Analytics advertising features (e.g. remarketing, Google Signals, demographics reporting).
  • Data sharing with Google: Google may process this data in accordance with its own privacy policy. We do not permit Google to use analytics data for its own independent advertising purposes.
  • Retention in Google Analytics: user-level and event-level data is retained for 14 months before automatic deletion, as configured in our Google Analytics settings.
  • Opting out: in addition to declining cookies via our banner, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent your data from being used by Google Analytics on any website.

Standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) may also be collected temporarily for security and troubleshooting purposes, under our legitimate interest.

  • Data portability, where processing is based on consent or contract and carried out by automated means
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal (e.g. for CVs held for future vacancies)

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 15. We will respond within one month, as required by Article 12 GDPR.

11. Data security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures — such as encrypted transmission (HTTPS), access controls, and staff confidentiality obligations — to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.

12. Automated decision-making

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you, including in our recruitment process. All application decisions involve human review.

13. Children’s privacy

This Site is intended for business audiences and is not directed at individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect legal, technical, or business developments. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site.
